Salmestone Grange in Margate …
… was a most unique setting. When Eliane and I arrived early on the morning of the big day I knew straight out we were in for a treat. The entire wedding; ceremony and reception were to take place on the grounds of this stunning place and I for one couldn’t wait to start shooting. I’d met Jennifer & Luke a couple of months back on their pre-wedding shoot and we hit it off straight away. We both have a very special mutual friend, Stephanie, which was a great ice-breaker and still that aside we were quickly relaxed in eachothers company and had an absolute party shooting in and around London.
I went to see Jennifer pretty much straight away and she was a little concerend with the rain. The ceremony was originally supposed to be outside and now it was being moved inside. As soon as I saw the inside setting however I knew we had a perfect substitute. The light was exquisite and I promised Jen’ that no matter what we would venture out at some stage and create some magic.
And … so … it rained. And it wasn’t what was planned … no sir …
… and … something amazing happened. After the service, Jen and Luke, decided to hell with it … lets rock this day no matter what and bold as you like they braved the weather, stood firm, and we had the most amazing time, dodging the showers, slipping and sliding, guys standing to gallant attention with umbrellas for their beautiful damsels and … (ok. I’ll leave it there …:))
Eliane (my wonderful second shooter) was absolutely amazing on the day and I’m not sure how things would have panned out if I didn’t have her buy my side.
At the end of it all … I had one of the most amazing times I’d had ever had shooting a wedding.
So congratulations Jen & Luke. I hope you like the images.
